Dogs in Costume! What could be more fun? Camp Fido's annual Howl-O-Ween Party is Friday, October 28. This is one of our favorite days of the year! Dogs who arrive in costume will compete for fabulous prizes as decided by popular vote. Additionally, you'll receive a commemorative refrigerator magnet of your dog all decked out. And all Campers (dressed up or not) will receive a treat bag!
For those of you who don't typically frequent Facebook, you might want to check out Camp Fido's Facebook page. It features photos of the week, announcements of relavent local events and an occasional fun video clip. Just click on the Facebook icon, which appears at the bottom of all pages on this website.
If you scroll down to the bottom of this page, you'll see an item about Eric DeKoekkoek and the piece of artwork he created by using photos he took while spending time at Camp Fido. We are currently selling copies of this art print for a suggested minimum donation of $10. All proceeds will be donated to MRC to help support the Artists’ Co-Op program, which provides adults living with developmental disabilities an outlet to achieve creative self-expression in a way that promotes personal growth, dignity, and self-confidence.
In case you haven't noticed, we have a wonderful piece of artwork hanging up in our office just to the right of the front counter. It was created by Eric DeKoekkoek, one of our MRC friends who comes to visit us on Wednesday mornings. In addition to being an honorary part-time dog wrangler, Eric is quite an artist. This piece was created by Eric using photos he takes while spending time at Camp Fido. Check out the dogs – one of them might be yours!
